    Long-standing cooperation

In 2002, Akij was the first bottler in Bangladesh to invest in a line built by the Neutraubling-based company, in 2004 in the world’s first PET recycling line from Krones – which is still running successfully today – and now, in 2021, in the first ErgoBloc system on the Indian subcontinent. All of this kit is installed at the same facility, located outside the capital Dhaka. Altogether, ten Krones lines and the associated process-engineering kit, plus the PET recycling line, are currently operating on its premises.

“Akij Food and Beverage Ltd. is proud to be associated with Krones for about two decades, and we have been highly successful with this partnership. AFBL is now the largest beverage company in Bangladesh competing with local firms and renowned multinationals. We highly respect and value the co-operation with Krones and expect to expand the same manifold in the future,” says Zahid-Al-Mahmud, Senior Manager Business Development & Research at Akij Food and Beverage Ltd.
