When it comes to sustainability, we join forces
We cooperate with other companies in our industry in various sustainability-related project groups of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). We have signed the ABMI (Association of the Beverage Machinery Industry) Sustainability Charter and cooperate with other companies in this association to jointly promote sustainability. We are also a member of econsense, the sustainability network of the German economy, in order to exchange information and transfer knowledge on reporting, climate and supply chain issues as well as sustainable finance across industries.
As part of the sustainability targets, Krones has involved the SBTi as an external stakeholder in order to validate the set targets. The SBTi has confirmed that our targets are compatible with the scientific requirements for limiting climate change. Both short-term targets and long-term targets, including net zero, have been validated by the SBTi.
To create transparency for customers, investors and analysts, we take part in recognised rating and audit formats. In 2025, we received an "A-" rating from CDP in the "Climate Change" category ("Water Security": B). Our EcoVadis Scorecard was awarded a Platinum Medal in 2026.
