Double success at the German Brand Award 2026: Krones impresses with interactive 3D showroom

Krones’ interactive 3D showroom has received two awards at the German Brand Award 2026. The project won Gold in the “Brand Communication – User Experience” category and was also named “Brand Experience of the Year”.

The jury particularly praised the showroom’s intuitive user guidance, layered depth of information and the seamless combination of technical product presentation and brand staging. According to the jury, the showroom makes complex production systems easy to explore and technical content readily accessible.

The showroom was developed in collaboration with Polypic GmbH. The platform supports trade fairs, sales activities, training programmes and customer communications. Its objective is to present complex industrial systems and processes in a way that is clear, interactive and engaging. Users can move freely through the photorealistic virtual environment, experience machines in operation and access additional information via interactive hotspots. The showroom can be accessed both locally and through pixel streaming.

“We want to inspire our customers with innovative solutions. To showcase these solutions effectively, we also need media experiences that inspire,” explains Andreas Wurm, Team Lead Media Solutions at Krones. “With our new 3D showroom, we are taking Krones’ product and brand presentation to a new level, enabling customers around the world to explore complex production lines in detail without the need for a physical installation.”

The two awards highlight the importance of digital brand communication at Krones. The interactive 3D showroom demonstrates how modern real-time technologies can help communicate complex content in an accessible way and create new opportunities to experience production processes.
